Piggy's America VIII-Suburb Philly, PA

Because of the interviews, I visited some suburb area of Philadelphia, they are nice, but...I had other chances walking on the highway, and always the only one walking on the highway...lol

King of Prussia

Went to Bankers for Interview, but I had no map from the bus station to the company, when I got off the bus, everything looks the same everywhere--just normal road, no clue where to go, luckily there was a Radisson Hotel there, I crashed in it, and saved my life, cooool...however, it was still confusing getting there~ I asked another guying walking on the road, he directed me to an opposite direction, but clever piggy made a wise decision--not listen to him:)...and called directly the company to ask for the direction...haha...at last got there...

It was still a season for the cherry tree, so cute...

Paoli-Exton

Because of the open house session of AFS, I took the train+bus for almost 2 hours to Exton...Got off the train at Paoli Station, and take the bus to Exton--that was a cute little town, nice houses and building, however I could not take any pictures on the bus...:P

The appointment was at 6 p.m, I arrive about 3:30 p.m, and went directly to the Exton Square Mall--of course I was not about to go shopping, but to have a look and get some food, hehe~ Then walked to the Whiteland Business Garden, where AFS located. The session was pretty good, I thought they would give us a long presentation, and that's all, but the presentation was only 10 min, and the rest of time I talked with 5 hiring managers: Derek, Tom, Carol, Stacy and Don, that was nice, especially Tom and Carol~Carol gave me a nice folder too--special gift for special piggy, hahaha~

It was already 8 P.M when I left AFS, can't believe that I stayed such a long time there:) and before living Whiteland, before leaving Exton, I did one more thing--Found a nice place and buried the candy box from Grenoble, which was with me all the time for 6 months, along with all my memory of Tophe...I don't know how long that box with stay there, maybe one day in the near future, someone's gonna take it out--maybe he/she will keep it, maybe send it to him, maybe throw it...however, anyway, it's not a thing i can still care, because I will forget, as I promised him, and disappear from his life thence...

Last year, June 21st, Fete de Musique in France, a day that he promised to come back, I walked in the city for more than 5 hours, saw everyone I knew in Dijon, except him...This year, the same day, June 21st, 8:13 p.m, in Exton, I buried the whole story, but at least, I don't need to wait for anyone...and this, is the last thing I will do for him...

Piggy en Europe V-EuroDisney, Paris, France

Paris Center - Euro Disney, Chessy, Seine-et-Marne, Ile-de-France, France: 38.9 km

Fontainebleau, located 45 min by train from center of Paris, is one of my favorite towns, where I went often and spent pretty much time.

The first I went to Fontainebleau was the January of 2004. Because of some bad things happened at that time, I felt not so good, and really wanted to disappear for some time, so I went to Fontainebleau with Charlotte, and since then I fell in love with this cute little town.

We arrived in the Fontainbleau Avon Station, and found the bus to go downtown, however we didn't know where the Chateaux is, so I asked a cute guy sitting behind us on the bus. He was a really nice guy, explained us how to get there, and said that he would tell us where to get off. Got off at the station of the Chateaux, I turned back, and waved my hand to say "Bye" to him while walking, but I didn't see the tree in front of me, and nearly crashed on to the tree:p--Stupid me~hehe...

Maybe because of the cold weather, or it was not holidays, there were not many people there, very quite, and was really a nice place to relax. We nearly forgot the cold outside, and spent long time outside in the garden--Such a romantic place, I really wanted to go with my love, but at last I haven't realized this dream, however, I had some magic RENCONTRE there~:)

That was September of 2004, forget why I went to Paris, but Diane was in Paris at that time, so I stayed 2 days there with her, and we went to Fontainbleau. It looks more vivid in summer, and was another kind of beautiful...

We tried to go to INSEAD, which is at the end of the bus line, and saw another cute boy on the bus~He sit opposite to us, on my right, the first time I saw him, I was shocked--he's not that "handsome", but perfectly my type:), never had such kind of feelings when I first saw someone, and I really could not moved my eyes from, even if I knew that he knew I was starring him, I just couldn't help. He got off in downtown, I really wanted to get off with him, even though I didn't know what I was gonna do if I did so. However, I couldn't leave Diane alone on the bus to follow that guy, she will definitely kill me, hehe, so I stayed on the bus. Surprisingly, he turned back when he passed by our window, I can still remember those eyes when he looked at me--if I was by myself at that time, I know I would surely get off the bus. Kind of magic~I did regretted for a quite long time after that until I saw him again after 1 year and a half...

I went to INSEAD for an interview of the MBA application in March 2006, after questioned by a mean professor, I went to the train station to go to Paris for another interview at ENPC. Magically I saw him again at the station, and even more magically he recognized me and began to talk to me--seems that I did gave him an unforgetable impression starring at him last time:) So naturally, we became friend, we went to Paris, and walked around a little bit...And I really began to believe that there's really miracle in this world...lol

A random oppotunity, I met up with some people in INSEAD, and spent almost 2 months there, which we called "United Nation", since students there are from 77 different countries--a really international community--classes were interesting, and that might be the time I worked most in France, and I got a lot of new friends there~

The experiences in Fontainbleau, and at INSEAD are really awesome. I love there, not only because it's a beautiful town, but also because of all the friends I made, the happy days I spent, and the magic things happened there ...I called it " The Miracle of Fontainbleau"...

Piggy en Europe I--Dijon, France

Piggy's Wonderland I--Hershey Park, PA, USA

Philadelphia, PA - Hershey Park, Hershey, PA: 95.7 Miles

Hershey Highway (Video is available HERE)
June 9, 2007 in the morning, we left Philadelphia for our beloved Hershey Park through the "Hershey Highway"--it is a normal highway between Philadelphia and Hershey, but since there's another "special" meaning in America, we were making fun of it on the road:)

Since the "special meaning" of "Hershey Highway" include high-level porn component, we don't give the specific explaination here, but Mango's "bloddy beautiful" was a vivid adjective for this expression...

Parking Spot-69...
After 2-hour's driving, we arrived the parking of Hershey Park, and find the best spot--#69!~Not sure if someone had been "back in" though...lol

Chocalate World
Here is the factory of Hershey Chocolate, however since I'm really not a fan of chocalate I don't really know how that taste like, it is cute though, Piggy likes cute stuff~ The building of "Chocalate Factory Tour" looks like the Oompa Loompa Land in the film, but we didn't went in it, the roller coasters attracted me much more than chocalate...lol

Got the ticked and crashed into the park--it was already 11 a.m, there were more and more people coming, so...save the time and RUN!
Comet
Comet was the first ride I took, kind of like the wooden one in Parc Asterix, always simply goes up and down, I don't like it too much, and it made me had a headache after that...so trip's gotta continue...

SooperDooperLooper (Video is HERE)

This SooperDooperLooper is pretty small, only once upside-down, very basic ride...

Great Bear

Great Bear is my favorite ride in this park, very well done, and many times upside-down...not the most violent one, but the most interesting one...exciting, and comfortable.

Maybe I like it also because this was kind of the same ride as the one, whoich made really passionate in amusement park. Think of 2 years ago, I was scaring going to those kind of rides, and now seems that I've already forgotten what is called "scare", just go directly to all the rides, no matter how brutal it looks like and now even learning taking videos on them--but just a beginner for this, I need more practice~That will be awesome!

Side Winder

Went to this one right after lunch was definately NOT a good idea! This goes forward and backward with couple of upside-down moments ride nearly take out of all the food I just ate...:P But it's a fun ride, if not go right after eating:)

Lighting Racer (Video is HERE and HERE)

This is another my favorite ride in the park, 2 rides left together and competiting like Gemini:) Also a wooden roller coast but much better compared to Comet and Wildcat...Highly recommended=)!

Wild Mouse (Video is HERE)

This is a very classic ride I took since I was 5 years old, but it has been really a long time that I haven't ride it, and I really forgot that it hurts arms!--Or more possibly that I'm getting FAT and BIG...Yuk!=P! Anyway, a nice memory of childhood...Good!

Storm Runer (Video is HERE)

This is the most brutal ride in the park, I read about it before, that one was in Cedar Point in Ohio, and that one was highter, maybe more intense...The train accelates to a very high speed--which can support it to the top of the curve with inertia--in a very short time at the beginning. It slows down on the top, and accelarates again while it goes down and then continue turning like a dragon until the end...It should be called "red dragon", but...*#&$^%@(...^o^!

Coal Cracker (Video is HERE)

Another classic park ride since early ages, but nearly the only water ride we can take in this park since we didn't plan to be completely wet and "visible"...lol

Other Water Park Rides:
1. Roller Soaker (Video is HERE)

We planned to take this one, and already got wet while waiting, however there was a long line there, so have to give up since we'd already been in the park for long time...But it is an interesting ride to make both ourselves and others wet, awesome!~

2. Tidal Force (Video is HERE)

This is a brutal one, no wonder that no matter people on it, or leaving it, or even just watching it will get wet...

The Claw (Video is HERE and HERE)

My favorite ride at the "Fete Foraine" in Dijon every year~I took the video on this ride, and seems from the video that was the end of the world since the earth was turning crazily...and can see the "Red Dragon" from the video too:) I put "the Whole new world" as the background music just for laughing~Enjoy!

Bumper Car (Video is HERE)

Ok, here is our last ride, again, childhood ride...See, we are still young!~

So...here we are, 10 hours in the amusement park, ride so many ride--even twice for couple of them, the world began to turn...Oh, forget to mention that Piggy saw a cute boy in the park~It was so magic that we saw him everywhere, haha~"Stolen" some photos, but this crazy Piggy was so obvious that she was taking the photo, that guy definitely knew it, and was so cooperative, so cute!...hahah~~~!!!!^o^~~~!!!

Anywasy, I had lots of fun--think everyone did~Time to leave, Bye~My beloved dreamland!~!

Piggy's 24th Birthday Party

Because of the horrible Valuation class, poor Piggy worked the whole day + the whole night on her birthday, but "Special" Piggy got a very "special" gift when she arrived the classroom on her birthday--The "special short bus" for special Piggy, came from her new family in America--Claudia, Garrett and lovely Daisy!^0^! Thanks for the permenant riders of my bus~=)!
Finished the examen and presentation for the Valuation class on Friday, we went to my favorite ChongQing Garden in Chinatown for dinner with authentic ChongQing food--delicious! Since it's BYOB, we got a big bottle of white wine, a bottle of red wine, and 6 bottles of beer...everyone was kind of drunk when we left the restaurant--of course, except me!~haha!
Karaoke was right next door to the restaurant, when everyone was drunk, we sang "comme une casserole"=p! That was a lot of fun--The video is just for internal communication, so I can't put it here, but you can imagine that we'd been kept singing for 4 hours, and it was already 2 a.m. when I got home~

Group at the beginning...

Group to the end...
Though I've got a sleepless working day of my birthday, as my mum said I always had a "birthday week", so it doesn't really matter, I still had a lot of fun the next day...lol! Thanks my friends for coming and being there with me for my 24th birthday~!!:)!

Piggy's America VII-Philadelphia, PA

Philadelphia, famous by Cheesesteak--I've never seen so many people waiting for kind of sanwich, and the best cheesesteak place: Gino's, Pat's and Jim's are always many people around...Amazing! I tried all of them, and still don't understand why people are so interested in it--maybe because they ate too many cheesesteaks, Philadelphia people look like cheesesteaks too--ugly, fat and disgusting...lol
Lived in Philadelphia for 6 months, I should wrote about it earlier, but I really haven't really visited this city before last week. We'll leave for Tokyo in 2 weeks, and I really don't know if I will come back here again, so it's time to visit here...

Gam came on last week for his across America trip, I went with him to discover this city, which we called "fucking Philadelphia"...
June 4, 2007:

Our Path: 910 Montrose Street => 9th South Street => South Street Bridge => 1st Chesnut => Pier A => 2nd Market Street => Independence Mall => => City Hall => 1515 Market Street => Chinatown-10th & Race Street => Independence Visitor Center/Liberty Bell Center/Independence Mall => Art Museum => Franklin Institute => City Hall => Chinatown-915 Arch Street => 10th South Street => 910 Montrose Street

Walked the whole day, took lots of pictures--enough souvenir for Philadelphia at least:)

Time to move on... ... ... ...

Piggy's America VI-Austin, TX

Finished the Expo, and at last finished the "GET Nightmare", got one week off, and I went to Austin this time...
May 6-10, 2007, Philadelphia-Austin: 1,661 Miles

Don't be scared, I didn't drive to Austin, but even with the plane, it took me about 8 hours~!

May 6, 2007
Got up at 4 a.m. in order to catch the flight at 7 a.m., changed in Dallas and arrived in Austin at 3 p.m. I was burning out when I arrived at Radisson Hotel-Tired and hungry...I really wanted to take a nap, but I was too hungry to sleep, so I went to a Mexican restaurant near the hotel--not cheap, but it was really good!...Had nice food and nice bed, and of course a nice sleep.

May 7, 2007
First day of NARRP Conference, I went to the session in the morning, the keynote speaker was an economist, who had got Economy Nobel Price, very clever guy and impressive experiences...

Oh, should say that, this was the first time I had Mexican food for breakfast, quite heavy, but I love it~!lol!

Downtown tour in the afternoon, walked on Congress Avenue, up to the Capitol of Texas, and there was Mr George Bush's painting there--since he was a governor in Texas. Got out from the back of the Capitol, soon arrived at University of Texas, pretty big campus--I miss the campus life! Since I got into this program, we always stayed in the same building, even the same classroom, just like we are prisoning...:( Pretty long walk though...had some sushi when I got back, but they put the wasabi in the sushi!!!--i hate wasabi!! this was the first time I haven't finished sushi!~! Yuck!

After dinner, I went back to the famous Congress Bridge, which was right under my hotel, to wait for the famous millions of bats flying out together for food...People said they would come out at 8:05 p.m., I arrived there at 8 p.m., and stayed until 8:40 p.m., there was even no single bats came out...scam!!!!

Went to the famous 6th street to listen to the music, but they were too loud, different music from different bars mixed together, that was noisy!

Back to sleep...

May 8, 2007
There was a cow lady came to play music during the lunch at the conference, she has a nice voice, and those songs were really cool--much better than the shit at the 6th street, this was the real music of Texas...

Had a long walk on the trial along the river after lunch, and sailed a boat there~I sailed the boat to the center of the river under the bridge, I really wanted to see if there were really bats there...starring at the bridge, I began to think what if they came out now, all on me...Ugh, disgusting...! It's better I stay under the sun on the river~:) So i moved the boat far from the bridge, and took a nap at the center of the lake...Woooooo...SUPER!!

It was a little hot...I got back to the hotel, changed and went to the swimming pool for cooling down...but since got to dress up for dinner, I could not stay too long...

Dinner was at Ruth's Chris-a famous steak house chain in the US, quite expensive~I ordered a fillet, it was good, but could not compare to the one I had in Wisconsin at the banquet, that one was much better and tender...

Waiting for the bats again, still none came out...

May 9, 2007
This was a shopping day...the mall was huge, and 2 hours, $300 bucks have gone--and I even haven't bought any cloths...ahhhhhh!

This was the last day of conference, and the barbecue with the auction was the most wonderful part of this conference~!--Nice band group, awesome food, and interesting auction...

A guys kept following me since I arrived there till the end of the auction...haha...just watching me eating like a hungry pig and exciting like an idiot at the auction--I'm always like that when i face good food, and I never saw the real auction before, it was so interesting! I bid a set of manmade pen--actually it was just a ballpen and a pencil--for $75...kind of crazy, but it was nice, and it's worthing:)

Piggy's America V-New York City

March 16/April 13-14/May 21/June 1, 2007, Philadelphia - New York City: 93.6 miles

March 16, 2007:

Planed to go company trek to NYC on March 16, 2007, but due to the thunderstorm on that day, the school canceled this trip. However I still took Chinatown bus and went there...

The weather was not that bad when I just arrived, but the ice still hurt, and i could nearly not raise my head...Kind of walk around, thanks Garrett for guiding or I would definitely get lost, subway system was horrible in NY...Met up with Rodney and Gab for lunch in a korean restaurant, awesome food though...

April 13-14, 2007:

The school rescheduled the company trek of couple of companies, but I just signed up for Google--I love Google! You can tell that I used almost all Google's services: gmail, blogger, calender, reader, lab, video, picassa...lol--so I had pretty much free time~

Thought to go to the Empire Building with Claudia after visiting Google, but there were so many people there, and we should wait for at least 2 hours, and we were in suits, kind of cold, and weird for visiting:P...so we went back to Garrett's place, had a rest, and went out to meet up with the rest of the group at the bar. Since we decided to stay in New York, we were keeping drinking: finished couple of vodka in the bar, and went to an underground japanese sake place...when we got out of there, we were all completely drunk...

3 drunken people crashed into a sex shop, the seller was so warm--she presented us her favorite "tongue" and made us tried some other "toys"...Honestly that tongue was really cool, but it was so embarrasing when she acted like that, even she said to me "Come on, that's sex! You can share with the others, you can share with yourself too!"...Oh my God!~Also there are some glass ones, they said they can keep temperature, and can be put into the frig and microwave...that was funny~!^o^!

It was already midnight when we got out there, lovely New York, we could still find food at that time~So we went to a Japanese restaurant, and got some "boxes food"--they were nice, but after drinking all those mixed alcolhol without eating, my stomach was not so good, Ugh!

When we went back, it was 3 in the morning again~Woke up at 10:30 the next day, head still hurt a bit, and stomach was still not that good:(...we walked Daisy to Central Park, Daisy is so cute~~~~~ !!!!

Took Daisy back, we went to Chinatown for Dim-sum--Chinatown in New York is just like China, even many stores and restaurants only have Chinese caracter on the board, I don't know how those Americans can understand~!and almost everything we can find in China, we can find in New York...Awesome!

After lunch, we went to the Union Square, there was a market fair on that day, with drawings, paintings, pictures, some other art stuff as well as food, flowers etc. Not too big, but nice, and it reminded me France...especially that morning in Apt on our way to Marseilles:)

Also I got my favorite "Relativity" for $2.71 in the bookstore, haha, cool!

Time for Philadelphia...Tour continues...

May 21, 2007

About the time for Tokyo, so I went to New York with Subash, Tamara and Farok for our Visa for Japan~ When we finished everything at the embassy, it was already 12:30 p.m., so we went to time square for lunch...

I went to the Empire State Building after lunch--maybe because of the week day, there were not so many people, so i went up nearly without waiting. $18 up to 86th floor, and +$15 if wanna go to 102th floor--kind of expensive, but since the 102th floor was only inside observation, it's really not worthing $15 more, so I just went up to 86th, and it was already nice enough! Could see the whole New York clearly, and even could see New Jersey! Very Awesome view...

Enough for the day...and next time I'll go to say Hi to the Liberty Statue! Hahaha...!!!
June 1, 2007
It was my favorite holiday--Children's Day~=)...even though I was not a little child any more, every year I always used "still one week left to get older, let me spend my holiday!" as an excuse to celebrate this "special" day with lovely candies and lollipops~^o^!
I went the the M&M's World at Time Square and got some M&M's, even if I'm not fan of M&M's, since it's cute, that's fine for Children's day!~ Went the embassy and got my Japanses Visa, and it was time to realize my last dream for New York--Liberty Statue.
Actually, Liberty Statue belongs to New Jersey, but people always think that it is in New York... I took the boat at the end of the subway station in Manhattan, and left for Liberty Statue Island and Ellis Island--so romantic taking the boat there by myself...lol...
The whole island belongs to this statue, it is bigger than the one in Paris though~!and the skyline of Manhattan looks nice from the Island...Said Goodbye to the Liberty Statue, I continued the boat trip to Ellis Island, looks like one station of the earliest immigrations, but I'm really not so interested in such sort of stuff...so just took a little tour, bought some postcards, and found a seat: had a drink and wrote my postcards...hehe...
Left the island, I went back to Mahattan, and back to Philly...
4 times visited New York, at last I finished my dreams of this city: walked through the busy Manhattan, visited the famous Time Square, went up to the Empire State Building, and said Hi to the Liberty Statue...Life is complete! Yeah!
