Piggy's America IV-Washington DC

Back from Chicago, and finished my Spring Break trip. Back to School, finished the research paper for GET--another sleepless night--and began out career week...(March 12-March 16, 07)

After the mock interview on March 13, we went to Washing DC for the company trek...

March 14/31, 2007, Philadelphia-Washington DC: 141 miles

March 14, 2007-Company Trek

World Bank (1818 H Street, NW) was our first destination, Eric Schlesinger admitted us, and there was another Chinese girl, graduated from Harvard & had MBA in Stanford gave us a little speech...Amazing experiences!~

Stayed about 2 hours and a half in World Bank, we then moved to IMF (700 19th Street, NW). The presentation was a little bit boring, I nearly fell asleep, but the speaker was right in front of me:( Weather was so nice outside, but we stayed inside the building and listened to the boring speech, Ugh!

Fortunately, it was not too long, and we still had some time before the bus came. So JT, Garrett, Claudia, Juiliett and I went to have a walk in the capital of the America!

Walked through Ave of Pennsylvenia, we arrived the front of White House, where Mr George Bush lives. Wanna say Hi, but the White house is so far away, looks like a prison...lol...a very nice and luxury prison though--if the prison has "president/VIP suite":) But anyway, at least I really saw the legend "White House"...:P!

Then we continued walking to the Washington Momument, Second World War Memorial and Lincoln's Parc...A pretty long walk, and it was nearly the time to go back, so we walked back to IMF, and on the way back I saw the momument of my favarite man--Albert Einstain!!!

I don't know why he's in Washington DC, but he's there and it's nice to "see" him...lol...

March 31, 2007-Cherry Bloosm

Because of the Cherry Bloosm Festival, Garrett, Claudia and I went to Washington DC again at the end of March, which was the last day of March, 2007 and the first of the festival!

The cherry trees in DC are pretty white--seems it was more pink in Philadelphia and Tokyo~ There were full of trees along the river, like a cherry tree sea, and was really beautiful...

It was such a romantic place, but I went with a couple, even if they are my best friends here, it was still a little funny...maybe next time I should take a co-bulb with me...lol

We walked along the river until the monument of Thomas Jefferson, cherry trees were all the way along our walking...so cool...

We re-visited the White House, looked a bit better at this time, since the trees were blooming...

Visited 2 museums there, saw my favorite dinosaurs, and the amazing Hope Diamond--the biggest diamond in the world--as well as different kind of diamond exhibition...I really wanted to take all of them out~!haha...

Getting tired when got out of the museum, so we got the car and drove to George Town for dinner. George Town is the old city of Washington DC, a very cute little area~

Nearly 10 p.m...Drove back...Zzzzzzzz...
